Senior Credit Analyst
Senior Credit Analyst
We have a great opportunity for an experienced corporate credit professional to join the Credit department as a Senior Credit Analyst. The role involves direct exposure to moneycorp’s dynamic and growing business areas. You will have regular contact with sales teams and dealers, helping them to achieve their ambitious sales targets by regularly approving FX trading limits and presenting larger exposures to Credit Committee. You will also help manage the credit portfolio by carrying out periodic reviews of client limits, deciding when a light touch or deeper dive is appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience of corporate credit in a banking/finance environment. You will have been exposed to diverse industries and types of credit risk, but with a particularly strong understanding of the common business and financial risks that SMEs face. You will be confident navigating around cash flow and income statements, and will understand the different types of on and off balance sheet funding. A solid understanding of FX hedging products will be a distinct advantage. You will be comfortable talking to and challenging clients’ senior management and will be happy to arrange and undertake site visits.
You will be expected to quickly become a leading member of the small and busy Credit team. You will understand that although it is necessary to say ‘no’ on occasions, moneycorp is a rapidly growing business and we always prefer to find mutually acceptable solutions for our clients. You will be able to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders, and be able to present your arguments and conclusions in a logical and structured way. You will happily offer guidance to other team members and be prepared to provide support when workflows are challenging.
